Las Vegas Vacation Destination

Traveling to glamorous Las Vegas as a vacation destination is a fabulous experience. From the awesome Strip, home to unique casinos and shows, to the beautiful terrain and wonderful climate, Las Vegas is a must-do vacation spot. Situs poker online is your ultimate guide when it comes to learning about poker and other card games that you can enjoy on your trip to Las Vegas.

One thing you will notice when you get to Las Vegas is the scarcity of clocks. The glittering casino environment of Las Vegas Boulevard, known as The Strip, goes 24/7. The scarcity of clocks provides a wonderful fantasy to get away from the real world.

The Strip is a must-see for any visitor. We found the best way to experience the Strip is by walking. The small shops, street vendors and artists add to the excitement of the experience. Make sure to go into all the casinos, no matter how small, as each casino will give out gifts to those individuals who get their playing cards for the first time. Make sure to bring an extra bag to carry all the free gifts!

There are several casinos that I highly recommend visiting while on the Strip. Circus Circus, MGM, Caesar’s Palace, Mirage, Paris Las Vegas, Treasure Island, Mandalay Bay, and the Stratosphere are fantastic. Enjoy a gondola ride, live pirate battles, aliens and magic while on the Strip. The Stratosphere should be a definite visit as it is the tallest free-standing building of the West. The view, food, and rides are worth the trip.

The food is excellent! There are many inexpensive dishes to enjoy while on the Strip, especially when you pick up a coupon book. Such food as strawberry shortcake, shrimp cocktail, sandwiches and more are available for purchase under $5. The restaurant atmospheres vary greatly. The range from the small town feeling to the extremely elegant rich and famous atmosphere. No matter what type of dining you prefer, it’s available on the Strip.

If walking isn’t something you enjoy there are taxis, buses, trollies, and a small train rail to get you around the Strip. I do not recommend driving as parking is limited.

Fremont Street is where the older casinos are located. For a better understanding of how gambling began in Las Vegas, the trip down Freemont Street is necessary. This area of town is where the people began gathering in the 1930s. The casinos are close together and easy to walk between. Visit the historical Gold Nugget, The Plaza and the Golden Gate Hotel Casino. Several Blocks of Freemont Street are covered with the longest digital screen in the country. A nighttime show has everyone stopping and looking overhead to watch the digital show.

Take a shuttle bus, taxi or car and stay in one of the hotels located off the Strip. Several I highly recommend include Palace Station, Rio Suites, Las Vegas Hilton, The Orleans and the Las Vegas Convention Center.

There are a plethora of shows to enjoy throughout the day. The tickets should be bought early as they sell out quickly. Make sure to see a show with the Vegas dancing girls, they are amazing and beautiful to see.

No matter whether you are traveling to Las Vegas for pleasure or business, the experience will be unforgettable. Between the art, architecture, gambling, and shows, it will be hard to get a good night’s sleep!
